SummerSlam 2010 is the July Long hot spot. We have great entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights, and Karaoke every day in the beer gardens. Back by popular demand, we will be having beer garden games such as chugging competitions and relay races.
As you roll in Thursday night with the itch to party the night away, make your way over to the beer gardens area. Thursday night will now replace the ever so popular Sunday night Karaoke.
On Friday night you can let your hair down and party with rock band Grimstone. The party always starts with Grimstone and ends with fans shouting for more. Grimstone has opened up for classic rock bands such as: Trooper, Harlequin, Chilliwack, Quiet Riot, Fist, Honeymoon Suite, Platinum Blonde, April Wine, and The Doors. Of course you can't forget about the show when you go to a Grimstone performance as you'll see big lights, pyrotechnics and other awesome showstoppers.
Opening the rock show is cover band Middle Age Crazy. This female led group will impress you with her outstanding vocals as the band plays classic rock.
On Saturday night award winning artist Codie Prevost will open the country night with a bang. Codie received 15 nominations at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards and took home 10 of them; including Fans Choice Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Album of the Year. Codie has opened for such bands such as Doc Walker, Emerson Drive, Aaron Pritchett, Gord Bamford and Deric Ruttan.
Headlining the country night is lyrical genius Ridley Bent. Ridley recently won seven awards at the 2009 BCCMAs: Fans' Choice, Entertainer, Socan Songwriter "Buckles and Boots", Single of The Year "Buckles and Boots", Male Vocalist, Gaylord Wood Traditional Country Award, Roots/Canadiana Award. Ridley has also toured with Corb Lund, Doc Walker, and hit major Canadian Folk Fests like Vancouver, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Hillside. His unique style blending pure country folk with urban beats will definitely keep your feet moving.
This incredible night will be topped off with a breathtaking fireworks display. So bring out the family for these all-age shows and dance the night away.
Beer Gardens will close at 8:00 Friday and Saturday night. Gates to the concert will then open and the opening band will begin at 9:00.
Tickets are $35/night or $60 for a weekend pass. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the gate.
