Burstall Summer Slam 2009
Welcome to Burstall Summer Slam 2010

THE BURSTALL LION'S CLUB would like to welcome you to our sixth annual SUMMERSLAM from July 1st to 4th! Grab your ball gloves and your party hats and get ready for a little fun. With $6000 of prize money (based on 32 teams) up for grabs it is sure to attract teams from all over Alberta and Saskatchewan.

SummerSlam is not just another ball tournament!! We pride ourselves on getting great entertainers for both the rock concert and country concert. This year is no exception!!

Friday, July 2nd will be nothing but hard rock this year. Opening the rock night will be Middle Age Crazy. Headlining the night will be hard rockers Grimstone.

Saturday, July 3rd country night will have ‘Saskatchewan Entertainer of the YearCodie Prevost open for multiple award winning artist Ridley Bent. Check out the ‘Entertainment’ page for further details!!

Our daily beer gardens include karaoke all weekend long with games and prizes. Bring your own chairs for both the concerts & watching the ball games! We have plenty of free camping, with serviced sites available from the Town of Burstall.

This event is a fund raiser for facilities in the Town of Burstall, including but not limited to, Lion's Park, Burstall Fire Hall, Burstall Arena, Burstall Curling Rink, Burstall Golf Course, Burstall Swimming Pool, and of course the Burstall Ball Park.

There is plenty to do in our small town including going for a dip in our indoor Swimming Pool. Or if golf is your thing we have a 9 hole golf course with grass greens. The Town of Leader which is only 50 km. away also has a beautiful 18 hole golf course. The Great Sandhills are only 30 km away and the South Saskatchewan River valley is only 16 km away.

We have some of the largest Gas Plants in Canada within site of Burstall including TransCanada, BP, Spectra Energy, Encana, and Atco Gas. Burstall is a bustling town with the oil and gas industry as the main drivers of our community.

Attention:

Due to recent flooding, one diamond is being taken out of use for the weekend. Due to the loss of a diamond, the draw will no longer be a round robin. SummerSlam 2010 will be run as an elimination bracket. There will be an A, B, C and D side final which will still guarantee teams four games. Payout will remain the same based on the 34 team draw.

Due to the change in tournament format, we are unable to post the draw online this year. Each team contact has been given game times for there first game Friday.
